- “Not documented” means we could not find it on those pages, not that the tool can't do it.

- We did not buy plans or generate test books in the other tools, so this page doesn't rate output quality. Try two or three on the same idea before you choose.

Questions
Can puzzle books use KDP Expanded Distribution?
You can try, but distributors may decline them: KDP's Expanded Distribution page lists puzzle books, word search, sudoku, crossword and maze among the topics its distributors may decline. Plan on selling on Amazon.
Do puzzle books need an ISBN on KDP?
Yes. KDP's low-content category doesn't typically include puzzle books (its table lists them as not generally low-content), so publish with an ISBN; KDP's free ISBN works for paperbacks and hardcovers.
Can a puzzle book be a Kindle eBook?
KDP's content-quality guide lists puzzle books among the books not suited to Kindle, which may be rejected or removed from sale. SmartKDP and Once Books list fixed-layout exports; kdpbook.io makes puzzle books as print books only.
Do I have to disclose AI use in a puzzle book?
Only for content an AI tool created: KDP asks you to declare AI-generated text, images or translations. A grid that ordinary code builds from your own word list isn't AI-generated; word lists, clues or quotes written by AI, and an AI-made cover, are. In kdpbook.io's puzzle books, AI writes the themed word lists, clues and cryptogram quotes and paints the cover; the puzzles themselves are built and checked in code.
