Before you publish

  • 32 pages is a market convention that comes from offset printing, not a KDP rule. KDP's minimum for paperbacks is 24 pages.
  • On Amazon.com, premium color up to 40 pages is billed at a flat printing cost, so a 32-page book costs the same to print as a 24-page one.
  • Your main characters are drawn once as a reference sheet, then reused on every page so they look the same from cover to last page.
