What Squibler is
A web writing app with AI generation. You describe an idea and it drafts a book organized into chapters and scenes, then a full-length manuscript on paid plans; it also writes outlines and screenplays, and you can attach your own manuscript to a prompt. Elements hold the characters, settings and key details the AI refers to, the Smart Writer proposes revisions you accept or reject, and highlighted passages can become images or short video clips. Its pages also mention AI cover art and translation into 80+ languages, and its help center lists printed softcover or hardback copies on Plus.
Where it shines
- Full-length drafts from one prompt, for novels, non-fiction and memoir, plus screenplays.
- A free tier with no time limit, and a Pro plan with unlimited AI credits.
- Elements that keep characters and settings consistent while the AI writes, and a Smart Writer whose suggestions you accept or reject.
- Images and short video clips from highlighted passages, for pitching and promotion.
- Printed softcover and hardback copies on Plus, per its help center; its terms leave you full ownership of what you create or generate.
Squibler pricing
- Free: $0 with 1,000 AI credits (its plan card says per month; its help center calls them trial credits, after which you need a plan).
- Plus: $29.99/month, or $15.83/month billed yearly, with 10,000 credits a month, full-length manuscripts and PDF and DOCX export.
- Pro: $89.99/month, or $49.17/month billed yearly, with unlimited AI credits.
- Credits don't map to words: its help center says Plus's 10,000 credits make anywhere from a few thousand to tens of thousands of AI words a month.
- No refunds for partial billing periods; within the legal withdrawal period (14 days in the EU and UK, 7 days elsewhere, including the US) a refund excludes the value of what you used.

Questions
Is kdpbook.io a Squibler alternative?
If the goal is a book on Amazon KDP, yes. Both write full-length books from a prompt. kdpbook.io also typesets the interior to a KDP trim, sizes the full-wrap cover from the final page count and exports a Kindle EPUB; a 336-page novel (about 80,000 words) is estimated at about 5,377 credits (≈ $54), interior, cover and Kindle file included. For screenplays, or a text draft you'll format in another tool, Squibler covers more.
Can I upload a Squibler PDF to KDP?
Squibler says its PDF, Word and ePub exports are ready for Amazon KDP, but its public pages don't list trim sizes, margins or bleed. KDP wants the interior PDF at the trim you pick (the trim + 0.125 in wide and + 0.25 in tall when art runs to the edge) and the paperback cover as one PDF with back, spine and front, sized from the page count: a 200-page 6 × 9 in book on white paper has a 0.45 in spine and a 12.7 × 9.25 in cover file. Check both in KDP's previewer before you publish.
Who owns a book written with Squibler or kdpbook.io?
Squibler's terms say you keep full ownership of what you create or generate with it. kdpbook.io's paid plans include a commercial license for exported books; free-plan exports carry a preview watermark and aren't for sale. With either tool, KDP asks you to disclose AI-generated text and images when you publish.
