Sean’s Adventure with Little Bit

Making friends can feel difficult for Sean, who experiences the world in his own way. At the park, he sits alone on a swing—until a playful dog comes bounding over. Little Bit’s wagging tail and joyful play help Sean feel at ease, and soon the two are exploring, running, and splashing through puddles together.

Then Sean and Little Bit meet Katie. She wants to join their game, but new friendships can take patience and understanding. As Sean decides whether to welcome Katie into their play, young readers can follow a warm story about communication, belonging, and making room for someone new. More children are watching, too: can shared play help them see the person behind the differences?

With an autistic child at its center, this gentle picture book celebrates being yourself and finding friendship at your own pace. Sean, Little Bit, and Katie bring affection and lively park adventures to a read-aloud that can open caring conversations about acceptance and playing together.
