The First Snow at the Cottage

The woodland has changed while Lila sleeps: outside her window, the world is covered in its first snow. She wants to keep a little of it beside her bed tonight, and with her puppy Lumi close by, she sets out to find a way.

A snowman is too big to bring inside. A smaller snowball rides with Lila on a sleigh, but the gentle glide leaves it crumbling in her lap. Then a robin arrives, and Lila begins to see that snow might have a place to stay without coming indoors. As she and Mum make glowing snow lanterns and Lila considers her little cup of snow, her wish meets the warmth of the cottage. Can she find a way to keep her snow close?
