MY FIRST JAPANESE YOKAI ADVENTURE

Bring a little Japanese folklore into playtime with The Yōkai Playbook, a hands-on activity book for curious children ages 5–8. Sumi the kitsune fox spirit guides young readers through playful puzzles and games inspired by yōkai.

Children can follow mazes, connect dots, trace letters, search for words, and play on game grids. 28 illustrated activity pages add pictures with something to do, while coloring invites kids to make each scene their own.

• 5 mazes and 4 dot-to-dots
• 4 letter-tracing pages and 4 word searches
• 4 game grids and 7 illustrated activity pages
• 13 answer keys at the back for help with solutions

From Kappa’s Cucumber Path to Umbrella’s Hop Home, the activity titles offer inviting glimpses of the creatures and scenes children will encounter. The mix of activities gives early readers different ways to focus, practice, and enjoy a little creative play. A cheerful choice for families and gift-givers looking for folklore-themed activities for ages 5–8.
