The Strambini – The Enchanted Clearing

At the Lake of Reflections, Lio the seven-tailed fox has made six places beside the water—one for each of his friends. He wants to bring home the magic they share. But when a strange mist swallows their reflections, their gifts begin to falter. Soren’s moon sight cannot find a way through the dark water, Niva’s dream hill crumbles, and even Lio’s shelter cannot keep the mist out.

A spark still shines beneath the lake. Lio follows a thread of magic toward it, hoping he can save what was lost. Yet the water may ask for more than he is ready to give. With Elio, Niva, Soren, Mika, and Auri beside him, Lio must face a difficult choice: what is he willing to let go of to protect the places they share?

For ages 5–8, this tender fantasy pairs vivid woodland magic with a gentle story about friendship, generosity, and making room for one another. Its expressive moments and reassuring warmth make it a lovely read-aloud for families who enjoy stories that linger after the last page.
