Follow the Music Home

by Jason Jenkinson

Oliver would rather stay curled up with an adventure book than go gathering acorns across the park. But when Mom heads home with Ella, Oliver is left to follow her advice: listen for the music that leads back toward home.

The trouble is, the music keeps changing—or disappearing just when Oliver needs it. A helpful seagull named Lenny sends him searching, and the park soon brings Oliver face-to-face with a watchful goose, a teasing eagle, and new friends Scarlett and Rocky. With the path growing unfamiliar and supper drawing nearer, Oliver must pay attention, ask for help, and find his way through a lively world beyond his reading nook.

Follow the Music Home is a warm picture-book adventure for preschoolers ages 3–5, celebrating curiosity, friendship, and the courage to explore. Its playful park encounters and music-filled journey make it a delightful story to share aloud with young listeners.
