Emi and the Not-Quite-Hill
A seedpod rattles, baby Tiko waits with open paws, and Emi has a plan: roll it down a little hill for her brother to catch. But the hill sends the seedpod sideways—and then, somehow, the wrong way. With Tiko’s game on the line, Emi follows the strange movements and listens for clues among the ferns. What she finds is not quite the hill she expected.
Emi is curious, determined, and ready to try again, even when her first ideas don’t work. Along the way, she meets Odo, an adult dinosaur with a very different idea about what a hill should do. This warm picture-book story follows a young sister as she notices what is around her and finds a playful way forward with her baby brother. Gentle humor, expressive dinosaur characters, and a rattling seedpod make it a lively read-aloud for preschoolers and families who enjoy stories about siblings, persistence, and imaginative play.
